There are a lot of wonderful license plates decorating the wall of the San Carlos Restaurant, Winslow, Bainbridge Island, Washington. I highly recommend the restaurant, which has been gathering these license plates for many years, likely since opening in 1984.

This is a 1958 Edsel Ranger 4 Door Hardtop, only one made like this car. Made in San Jose on Sept 1957 . It's modifications are AirRide system, Billet Speciality Custom Wheels 17" and !8" with Nitto Tires Alloy Dual exhaust plus a bunch others. We will Transverse Route 66 in 2008 The 50th Anniversary of Edsel.

3QTRTYM the plate on the Edsel refers to a Jimmy Buffett song "Nautical Wheelers" about old fishermen and their wives that go down to the bar and dance every week, not living full speed and not dying 3/4 time livin' 3/4 time life just right. We live on an island and I try to teach my son about the speed of life.

The one and only so far ..I know of one other Edsel owner who loves his Edsel so much he wants to drive it daily.. that is what this car is "A Daily Driver"
